The Hope Beyond Today program has been developed by those who have lost loved ones and have navigated through the maze of hurt, sorrow, and heartache caused by grief. Like many of us, they have experienced deep emotional pain. Their thoughts of encouragement will enable others to find hope during their own personal journey.

Hope Beyond Today is a six-week program consisting of one-hour sessions. Each session begins with a 30 minute video, which is followed by discussion time for the group to share their own thoughts, words of encouragement, and comfort.

Hope Beyond Today’s purpose is to provide hurting people with practical ways to cope with the pain of a life-changing loss. By sharing from personal experience and focusing on suggestions that provide comfort and encouragement to countless grievers, Pastor Fran and Nancy help hurting people learn to move forward well.

Personal Experience:

Speaking from both personal and professional experience, the consistent message in this course is one of faith and hope, proven through personal struggle.

Pastor Fran Welch has experienced his fair share of personal grief and faithfully walked alongside countless grievers in his pastoral care role at a large church.

Nancy Self has experienced the loss of two husbands, other personal losses, and has been a source of comfort and encouragement to many friends as they’ve walked their own road of grief.

Bible Centered Content

This course has carefully chosen Scripture throughout to encourage grieving hearts and remind each of us that God is with us, even in the midst of our grief.

The Leader Guide contains tips and guidelines for leaders. This includes group strategies and wisdom, making this material easy for both new and experienced facilitators to get started.

It also holds the complete text from all 6 teaching videos, making it easy to reference and highlight. After each session, there are a couple of pages of discussion questions. These come with plenty of room for writing answers and any follow-up questions you might want to discuss with your group.
